This guide will contain instructions for building the extruder for the Positron V3.2.

2. Installation

Install the Shaft Assembly

Step 1 of 9 in this section

Put the shaft assembly through the hole from the bottom of the printed extruder main body.

Add an MR85 bearing on top of the shaft assembly.

Cover the main body with the printed extruder motor plate.

Put Z Motor onto the Plate

Postion the E motor into the hole of the motor plate as shown in the picture.

Use an M3x8 BHCS screw in the indicated hole.

Install Screws

Install an M3x8 BHCS screw in the left hole (blue arrow) and an M3x10 wafer head screw in the right hole (red arrow).

Install the Primary Gear and the Bowden Coupler

Put the primary gear into the shaft.

Install the set screw (included in the BMG drive kit) into the primary gear.

Install the bowden coupler from the direction as shown in the image.

Prepare the Guidler

Step 5 of 9 in this section

Put the secondary gears into the primary gear as indicated in the picture.

Apply a small amount of grease to the shaft bearings

Put the primary gear onto the groove of the printed extruder guidler. Insert the shaft through the hole of the guider and the hole of gear.

Install the Guidler

Attach the assembled primary and guidler to the main body and put the spring in the groove.

Secure with an M4x8 wafer head screw from the direction as indicated in the picture.

Assemble the Cover

Install the Mounting Bracket

Position the extruder mounting bracket onto the printed extruder main body as shown in the picture.
