3. Install Fans

5

Insert the first fan into the plenum

Step 1 of 4 in this section

Use the fan with the cut wire from the preparation section. Route the wires for the first fan from the right side of the plenum as indicated by the yellow arrows from right to left

16

Solder the wires to the bridge PCB

Step 4 of 4 in this section

Prepare to solder the two wires each of the fans to the PCB and the pigtail connector wire that was cut from the previous step (C).

1 image(s) - Click to view

Ensure the wires are arranged as pictured so the PCB will be tucked in the compartment

1 image(s) - Click to view

The positive (RED) wires should be solder to the top and the negative (BLACK) wire to the bottom

1 image(s) - Click to view

Inspect your solders are clean and there are no shorts between the positive and negative connections

1 image(s) - Click to view

Use a multimeter to verify that you do NOT have a short. A bad solder will result in permanently damaging the controller board.

5. Cartridge Assembly

11

Insert the magnets

Step 1 of 2 in this section

Identify the correct orientation of the magnets for the cartridge by sticking the magnets to the plenum. Note the orientation by putting a mark on magnet with marker.

1 image(s) - Click to view

Use the marks from the previous step to ensure correct orientation so the cartridge will attach the plenum. Use a drop of superglue to affix the 6mmx3mm magnets into each of the holes one at a time.
