Nevermore V5 Duo - Trident
This guide will walk you through the assembly of the the Nevermore filter. This is highly recommended for anyone printing using ABS or ASA filaments. For more information check out - Nevermore Activated Carbon Filters - Micro Edition Also check out the video guide by Maple Leaf Makers - Nevermore Carbon Filter We would thank the Voron Design team for all of their hard work and contributions to the 3D printing community. 1. Parts to Print
Here are the printed parts for the Nevermore for the v2.3 or Trident. The guide will show only images for the V2.4 Nevermore, however the Trident version is assembled the exactly the same way.

2. Preparation
Modify the enclosure for both 5015 fans
Separate the fan by prying tabs that hold enclosure together
Carefully use a pair of wire snips and remove the section of plastic from the fans.
Repeat this for both fans
Be VERY CAREFUL if you use a box cutter, razor blade, knife etc. for this step.

3. Install Fans
Insert the first fan into the plenum
Use the fan with the cut wire from the preparation section. Route the wires for the first fan from the right side of the plenum as indicated by the yellow arrows from right to left
A pair of tweezer will help in routing the wires.
Insert the first fan in to the right side of the plenum and pull the wire some it's flat in the wire channel

Insert the second fan into the plenum
Route the wires for the second fan from the left side of the plenum as indicated by the yellow arrows from right to left
Insert the second fan in to the left side of the plenum and pull the wire some it's flat in the wire channel
Cut the wires of the fans to be equal of equal length approximately ~30-40mm extended from the enclosure as shown.
Keep the wire with the connector (C) for a later step.

Attach the fans to the plenum
Use four M3x16 BHCS screws to attach the fans to the plenum.

Solder the wires to the bridge PCB
Prepare to solder the two wires each of the fans to the PCB and the pigtail connector wire that was cut from the previous step (C).
Ensure the wires are arranged as pictured so the PCB will be tucked in the compartment
The positive (RED) wires should be solder to the top and the negative (BLACK) wire to the bottom
Inspect your solders are clean and there are no shorts between the positive and negative connections
Use a multimeter to verify that you do NOT have a short. A bad solder will result in permanently damaging the controller board.

4. Nevermore Assembly
Insert the magnets
Use a drop of superglue to affix the 6mmx3mm magnets into each of the holes one at a time. Be sure to keep the magnetic poles the same.

Secure the Plenum Lid
Slide the plenum lid into the grooves of the plenum body.
Secure the lid with the M3x6 BHCS screw.

5. Cartridge Assembly
Insert the magnets
Identify the correct orientation of the magnets for the cartridge by sticking the magnets to the plenum. Note the orientation by putting a mark on magnet with marker.
Use the marks from the previous step to ensure correct orientation so the cartridge will attach the plenum. Use a drop of superglue to affix the 6mmx3mm magnets into each of the holes one at a time.

Fill the cartridge and close the lid
Fill the cartridge with active carbon pellets. (NOT INCLUDED WITH THE KIT)
Slide the lid between the grooves of the cartridge body and secure using a M3x6 BHCS screw
It is recommended to use acid-free carbon pellets. For more information check-out the Nevermore information.

6. Installation for Voron Trident
Attach the Plenum
Insert one M3 Hammerhead into back right extrusion
Attach the Nevermore Frame Connector to the extrusions using a M3x8 SHCS screw
This is the recommend mounting for the Nevermore for this kit since the wires are cut to length for this location. However, it can be mounted in a different locations.
Insert the Nevermore Plenum into the Frame Connector and attach using using a M3x16 BHCS screw
